about walk the moon

founding member, performer and songwriter

Walk the Moon is an American pop rock band based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lead singer Nicholas Petricca started the band in 2006, while a student at Kenyon College, and invited Adam Reifsnyder to join after singing together in The Kenyon College Chasers, a co-ed a capella group, and realizing that they lived about 10 minutes away from each other.

Known later for their smash hit "Shut Up & Dance With Me" (which came after Adam's time in the band), Adam Reifsnyder was a founding member of Walk the Moon (which started its run as Wicked in the Mix) and performed bass and vocals, wrote music, and helped manage the band from 2005 through 2010.

Adam is a co-author on "Anna Sun", "Quesadilla", "The Liftaway", and "i want! i want!", and can be heard performing on 3 songs released through RCA records: "i want! i want!", "Blue Dress", and "Me + All My Friends".
